It was the year 2020, and I stayed at home before the commencement of university.

While I was staying like that,

I randomly watched a YouTube video that explained about a gas turbine in a combined heat generation plant,

and that was the moment I found a passion for energy engineering.

Then I started learning more about energy-related topics following two courses on Coursera.

With that passion, I chose mechanical engineering because I believed that it could provide me with diverse opportunities in the energy field.

From then up to now I was able to gain knowledge and experience in this engineering field, especially focusing on energy & sustainability.

Furthermore, I was able to gain hands-on experience in energy management, during my 6-month internship at Michelin Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd.

Those 6 months were a pivotal point in my life. Because that opportunity did not come as a piece of cake.

I applied for 30 job postings and faced 2 job interviews, but nothing hit a chance.

Therefore, it was a stressful month obsessed with rejection feeling.

The mindfulness gained from Buddhism and the encouragement of family and best friends were the only things that relieved me.

Therefore, from the beginning of the training I had the intention to do my best.

With that self-motivation, I gained diverse experience in energy management and put it into practice by introducing a lighting design project.

After learning from setbacks in my life I focused on personal growth and filled my life with reading and journalling like
good habits. This led to starting my blog cultivating my passion further.
